Monday Club

All Pre-K children are eligible to participate in our optional Monday Club enrichment program. This is a class of 18 children who come to school from 9:00 to 2:00 every Monday. Because the class is drawn from all three Pre-K classes, this is a fun opportunity for children to make new friendships with children they may not necessarily see in their regular classroom. Monday Club explores different units that run for six weeks at a time.

Explore, Enrich, Engage!

Monday Club is a wonderful way to explore, enrich and engage in different areas of study over the course of the school year.

Here are some examples of some of the units we have previously explored:

Authors and Illustrators

During this area of study, we will enrich our minds with various writing styles and artistic mediums. Local professionals may visit our class to share their talents and perhaps inspire a future author or illustrator!

Green Thumb Kids

We engage in an age-appropriate approach to gardening. All the aspects of soil and seeds, shovels and rakes, water and weeds – and don’t forget the bugs and worms – will be a part of this curriculum.

Safari/Rainforest

Life in the rainforest will be explored during this unit. Some questions to answer are: where are the rainforests? What is the weather like in a rainforest? Who and what lives in a rainforest might we see on a safari?

Community Helpers

Who are the people in our community and what do they do? Special guests may visit the Monday Club class. . . police officers, postal workers, veterinarians, librarians. . . What would you like to do when you get older?
